Conservatism is not dead

In the last couple of weeks we have heard a lot of chatter about how conservatism is dead and that the Republican Party needs to become more moderate in order to stay in power. The thought of the day by many Republican leaders is that we just need to listen a little more to what the American people want.

I think that both of these ideas are dead wrong and that is why I am working hard every day to help Team Huck not only stand up for the conservative values you and I stand for, but lead the fight in standing for these values.

Consider the facts: when Republicans offered The Contract with America back in 1994 to stand for limited government they gained back majority control in the Congress because the American people where ready to push back against the Democrats out of control spending and burdensome regulations. The Republicans continued to have a majority in Congress until they decided that the Contract with America was no longer relevant and they started to forget what they were elected for.

If you are a voter and you are given the choice between full blown liberalism with all of its promises and a government that will take care of you from cradle to grave and liberalism-lite which basically promises the same thing, only slower and more controlled then what will most voters choose? They will of course choose the full blown liberalism since there is not clear alternative.

On the other hand if Republicans run as conservatives and offer a clear alternative to this liberalism like Ronald Reagan did, then they will win!

Huck Pac understands this and that is why Huck Pac supports only candidates who are true conservatives and fight for the values you and I care about.
These candidates are not willing to give up on any of the three wings of conservative principles. They stand up for the social conservative values such as being pro-life and pro- traditional marriage. They support the economic conservative principles of lower taxes, limited government, and less regulation. Finally, they support the conservative nation defense principles of a strong military and a secure border.

These candidates are also not anti-poor, anti-middle class, anti environment or any of the other stereotypes that are put on conservatives. They are exactly the opposite in that they want to empower the poor, by cutting taxes and regulation so that more are able to find jobs and live out their American dream. They work help the middle class by letting them keep more of their own money and not making small business regulations so overbearing to help them reach the next level of prosperity. Finally, they are not anti-environment because they understand that while we need to be good stewards of God’s creation we should not put excessive environmental regulations on people that will do much more harm than good to the environment by keeping people in poverty by “taxing” them with new fees and costs.

So if you are like me and want to support the “Huckabee Republicans” who follow in the tradition of Ronald Reagan and are truly conservative then become a part of Team Huck today!

For my Birthday: Help me get our country turned around

It is my birthday today and I am asking myself: If the country keeps heading in the direction that it is heading, what will my country be like next year and the years following? Will each new birthday find this country farther away from the great America we love?

In just a few months in office President Obama, with the help of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have done at least one thing a day that has hurt our country or gone against our long standing values, and this seems to be only the beginning.

President Obama has made countless rulings and appointments that are strongly against the sanctity of life. He has also done several things to hurt America's credibility in the world (his apologize for America tour) and weaken our national defense (releasing the CIA memo's).

I went to the Tea Party on April 15th and I know that many of you did as well. You stood with me in protest of our governments excessive taxation, spending and outright taking away of our liberties. Well, I am asking you to stand with me again, today, on my birthday and help me stand with Mike Huckabee and Team Huck in supporting candidates who do understand that we want our country back. Team Huck stands for Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness as supported in our constitution.

Will, you join me today in giving $25 or more to Team Huck? If 100 of you would stand with me to give at least $25 on my birthday and show that you really are willing to sacrifice a little for your country this would make my birthday a great one, because I would know that with your help we will get this country back on the right track in 2009 by electing strong conservatives in Virginia and New Jersey and then by winning a conservative majority back in 2010.

For those of you who went to the Tea parties this is your chance to put action behind your words and stand up for what candidates who understand what we want: A limited government that will cut taxes, and show respect for our long-held values of life (including the unborn), liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

If you want to make my birthday great please click here to donate: https://www.huckpac.com/?Fuseaction=Contribute.Home&r=26843 (Code 26843)

Thank you for standing with me in support of this country and the values we hold dear!

The Fair Tax: Let’s abolish the IRS!!

“I’d like you to join me at the best “Going Out of Business” sale I can imagine – one held by the Internal Revenue Service. …{The Fair Tax would} completely eliminate all federal income and payroll taxes. And do I mean all – personal federal, corporate federal, gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, self-employment. All our hours filling out forms, all our payments for help with those forms, all our shopping bags filled with disorganized receipts, all our headaches and heartburn from tax stress will vanish. Instead we will have the FairTax, a simple tax based on wealth. When the FairTax becomes law, it will be like waving a magic wand releasing us from pain and unfairness.” - Mike Huckabee

Did you know that the IRS tax code is over 67,000 pages long? Well it is and this means that not one member of congress has ever read the whole tax code, just as they did not read the so called “stimulus bill” that was recently passed through congress.

Did you also know that American Taxpayers spend more than 260 billion dollars each year just in compliance costs to file their taxes each year? I know the government has no regard for our taxpayer dollars as they continue to increase spending, but don’t you think that this $260 billion could be better spent elsewhere?

I believe that one of the key reasons that the government does not want to enact the Fair Tax is because as long as they have control over the tax code then they get to pick who gets tax cuts and who gets the loopholes and who does not. It is time to end this nonsense and enact the Fair Tax!

The Fair Tax would be a simple sales tax on new goods that would likely be around 23%. It also has a prebate built in for all Americans so the poor would be basically untaxed. This would mean that most of us would pay 5-10% less in Federal Income Taxes per year! I calculated that I would pay over $2000 less in Federal Taxes. (Check out your savings at the following link Fair Tax Calculator

The result of the Fair Tax could very well be the largest economic boom in American history as business would flock back to the US because they would no longer have to pay a 35% income tax (one of the largest in the world), but instead they could come back to US and create jobs here again for you and me.

If you are tired of the hours you spend each year filing taxes and the control that government has over the massive tax code then join Mike Huckabee and me in supporting the Fair Tax!

If you are attending a Tax Day TEA party rally then bring your Fair Tax signs to the Rally! Or if you are in the South Carolina area on April 15th you can go to the National Fair Tax Rally with Mike Huckabee, Neil Boortz and many others. For more details click on the following link. Do the Christians and Catholics who voted for Obama have buyer's remorse yet?

We are not yet even three months into the new Obama administration and here is the record on abortion (courtesy of http://www.lifenews.com/)

Pro-Abortion Presidential Record - 2009

  • January 5, 2009 - Obama picks pro-abortion Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine as the chairman of the Democratic Party.
  • January 6, 2009 - Obama chooses Thomas Perrelli, the lawyer who represented Terri Schiavo’s husband Michael in his efforts to kill his disabled wife, as the third highest attorney in the Justice Department.
  • January 22, 2009 - Releases statement restating support for Roe v. Wade decision that allowed virtually unlimited abortions and has resulted in at least 50 million abortions since 1973.
  • January 23, 2009 - Forces taxpayers to fund pro-abortion groups that either promote or perform abortions in other nations. Decison to overturn Mexico City Policy sends part of $457 million to pro-abortion organizations.
  • January 26, 2009 - Obama nominee for Deputy Secretary of State, James B. Steinberg, tells members of the Senate that taxpayers should be forced to fund abortions. Nominee erroneously says limits on abortion funding are unconstitutional.
  • January 29, 2009 - President Obama nominates pro-abortion David Ogden as Deputy Attorney General.
  • February 12, 2009 - Obama nominates pro-abortion Elena Kagan to serve as Solicitor General.
  • February 27, 2009 - Starts the process of overturning pro-life conscience protections President Bush put in place to make sure medical staff and centers are not forced to do abortions.
  • February 28, 2009 - Barack Obama nominates pro-abortion Kathleen Sebelius to become Secretary of Health and Human Services.
  • March 5, 2009 - The Obama administration shut out pro-life groups from attending a White House-sponsored health care summit. Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion business, made the invitation list as did other pro-abortion groups.
  • March 9, 2009 - President Barack Obama signed an executive order forcing taxpayer funding of embryonic stem cell research.
  • March 10, 2009 - Obama announces the creation of a new foreign policy position to focus on women's issues. He names Melanne Verveer, an abortion advocate, to occupy the post.
  • March 10, 2009 - Reverses an executive order to press for more research into ways of obtaining embryonic stem cells without harming human life. The order Obama scrapped would have promoted new forms of stem cell research.
  • March 11, 2009 - Obama signed an executive order establishing a new agency within his administration known as the White House Council on Women and Girls. Obama's director of public liaison at the White House, Tina Tchen, an abortion advocate, became director of it.
  • March 11, 2009 - Obama administration promotes an unlimited right to abortion at a United Nations meeting.
  • March 11, 2009 - Obama administration officials deny negative effects of abortion at United Nation's meeting.
  • March 17, 2009 - President Barack Obama makes his first judicial appointment and names pro-abortion federal Judge David Hamilton to serve on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

I don't think this is a man who has any concern for the sanctity of life. He has done this in less than 3 months!! I hope my Christian friends who voted for him wake up before the 2012 election and will not vote for him again. This is just one of the ways President Obama is working to destroy our country which he calls arrogant and that he thinks needs to apologize to the rest of the world.

Great Article From Mike Huckabee

Here is a great article by Mike Huckabee...
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/mar/18/heres-a-novel-idea-for-gop-try-practicing-conserva/

Mike Huckabee is a true conservative and if you are someone like me that wants a pro-life, pro-marriage, strong border, strong national defense, and fair tax candidate, Mike Huckabee is your man!!

Here is a townhall column from Kevin McCullough that agrees with me that Mike Huckabee is the front runner in 2012... http://kevinmccullough.townhall.com/blog/mccullough/default.aspx?mode=post&g=d213c505-4df9-4d54-acfb-7b48c7abef19&comments=true&submitted=true86bdb633-52ae-41b2-81a3-c1cbe837224a#commentAnchor

I especially agree with Kevin's post that Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter and National Review were largely unfair to Mike Huckabee. He would have been a great conservative nominee in 2008! To see where Mike Huckabee stands on the issues visit the following websites..

Red Envelope Day!!

Please Join me on March 31st by in Red Envelope Day... more details...here...http://www.redenvelopeday.com/

Here are the details

Get ONE RED ENVELOPE.
Adress it to:
President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Write your name & return address in upper left corner. If you're a young person, add your age or where you attend school. (Obama is keen on the "youth vote.")On back of the envelope, write the following message
"This envelope represents 1 child who died from abortion. It is empty because that child was unable to fulfill his or her God-given purpose. He or she cannot offer anything to the world, and has left a mother empty inside."

Mail it and pray for President Obama to change his mind on abortion.
Pro-life groups across the nation are participating in the Red Envelope Project.

HOW TO FIND RED ENVELOPES:

You can usually get them (or order them) from office supply stores, but if you just need one, an easier way is this: Go to a cheap place that sells greeting cards (Family Dollar, dollar stores, etc) and pick out a greeting card with a red envelope....then throw away the card :)

Sometimes you can find clearance Valentine cards or Christmas cards with red envelopes.

Printers like OfficeMax, Minuteman Press, Kinko's, etc, also usually have red envelopes and you could purchase and entire box for your group. Or, ask for just one & it doesn't matter what size envelope.

Free Trip to New York

Please read the following Update from Mike Huckabee...

A Trip To New York
by Mike Huckabee

We have a new fundraising challenge for Huck PAC that is critical to our efforts. Our goal is to raise $65,000 online by the end of March from our supporters. The money we raise in March will be invested in:
-Jim Tedisco's congressional campaign in New York's 20th Congressional District special election. Jim is pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, for a strong defense and smaller government. http://www.jimtedisco.com/ We endorsed him this week and want to support him financially before his election as well.
-The elections in Virginia and New Jersey this November, where we will support the strongest conservative candidates across each state. Visit all endorsed candidates here..More to come. http://my.huckpac.com/?FuseAction=Candidates.Home
-Gear to promote our Volunteer team. We now have the funding to send our teams of Volunteers to their GOP state conventions. We need signs, t-shirts, and handouts to help promote our national grassroots efforts on behalf of Huck PAC endorsed candidates.
I am also excited to announce that for every $10 that you contribute towards our March Fundraising goal, your name will be entered into a raffle to receive a weekend trip (airfare and hotel included) to New York City to attend a taping of my FOX news show "Huckabee".
This won't be the only way you can win the tickets for my show this month, but it is the first way to add your name to the raffle at the end of the month. In fact if you make a contribution of $10 or more before Saturday at midnight we will add your name 3 more times into the raffle.
I urge you to make a contribution of $10 or more today. Not only will you help our efforts to assist conservative candidates nationwide, but your name will be entered into a raffle at the end of the month to win two tickets to my television show, a hotel room and airfare to New York.
